The striking beauty of nature is captured in the delicate leaves of the Mendip "Foliar Collection".

Foliar is available in 5 subtle colourways and is 100% silk with an overlay of organza, cleverly woven in.

Candlebark is a silk / cotton, designed to co-ordinate with Foliar, and is suitable for light upholstery work.

Did you know that bamboo can grow up to one metre per day and requires no irrigation or fertiliser to do it? Bamboo rarely needs replanting. The extensive root system is a fantastic soil erosion inhibitor. A bamboo forest produces 35% more oxygen than a similar stand of trees. It has natural anti-bacterial and anti-microbal properties, thereby removing any need to spray with pesticides and fungicides.

Bamboo has an incredible array of uses, including building materials like scaffolding and floors, food, homewears, clothing, furniture, blinds & paper. It can be used in its natural form, turned into a laminate, sculptured or pulped.

Now the technology is available to make bamboo into fabric, which we have, in turn, made into a beautiful, 100% bamboo quilts. Bamboo fabric has been proven to be naturally anti-bacterial and odor inhibiting. It is resistant to dust mite and mould. It is 3-4 times more absorbent than cotton, making our quilts warm, comfortable and environmentally responsible.

Due to unforseen circumstances, Kathy, from Beautiful Room, is unable to continue as our fabric agent in Queensland. In her place we have appointed Vanessa Wood. She, along with her husband Peter, have been very involved with the building & decorating industry for years.
Although currently on the look-out for a suitable showroom, she can still be contacted via mobile 0412 604 304, or visit her website: to find out more about Vanessa's wealth of experience.
