| John Tulloch's family goes back several generations in the textile industry. John has been involved in the business since early 1970's, taking over from his father. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge in construction, styling, and the commercial potential of both furnishing and fashion textiles. |
| Merryl Shand joined the company in 1998, after many years in the fashion industry. She has an intimate knowledge of the nature of textiles, and a very good eye for colour and design. |
John and Merryl continue to represent several textile agencies around the world, originally servicing mainly the fashion industry, but it was the love of silk and the association with one of the world's largest silk furnishing mills, which lead to the development of a wholesale range of silk based fabrics. Mendip Silks Pty Ltd was born.
A short step sideways has seen the company move into silk filled quilts, which has become a very important part of the business.
In recent times, we have taken over the representation of Donati from Italy and Kinnasand from Germany / Scandinavia.
We have grown to such an extent that we now have representation throughout Australia and it is our intention to continue supplying the highest standards of products and service. |
